A Most Holy Week is the sixth of seven resources in the new Picture the Bible KidLit series. All seven KidLit resources together will bring you 52 stories from Picture the Bible in this easy-to-use new resource. The resources can be used in any order.
This set of lessons walks through the events of Holy Week, from the Entry into Jerusalem to the Crucifixion. (Easter is in the final series, Alleluia! Jesus Lives!) Each lesson contains the core components of a Sunday School class: a Bible story, a related children’s literature story, a creative art project, conversation, and prayer. The lesson is flexible and readily meets the needs of a range of learners. The lessons do not require extensive preparations from teachers—background information and biblical insights are provided! This series can be used in a wide range of congregational contexts.
This resource relies on Picture the Bible art and the book Picture the Bible, published by The Pilgrim Press (www.thepilgrimpress.com).
